Vintage Design
Willy Van Der Meeren designed this dining table, model T1, for Tubax in 1954. The three-legged frame is made of black painted metal, the top is covered with light mint green formica. This table is in good vintage condition. This T1 is completely authentic from the 1950s. I arrived at this design because I hate those endless extension pieces that get stuck and always have to be stored somewhere. A table is more stable on three legs and the American and Norwegian prefabricated boards – 1,22 x 2,44 m – enable you to make 2 large and 2 small table-tops, plus 2 tops for bedside cabinets, without any waste. The table with extension pieces is replaced by 2 separate tables, one for the dining area and the other to work on. They can be put together for a larger group.
