This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation bowl/bowl has a plain oval rounded form onto an oval spreading pedestal foot.
The surface of this Arts & Crafts silver bowl has a planished finish with a plain moulded rim to the upper portion.
This bowl is fitted with two fine and impressive narrow loop style handles with an opposing scrolling lower terminal in junction with the pedestal, in addition to impressive Arts & Crafts style bifurcating scrolling upper terminals.
This bowl sits to the original oval painted wood plinth; if required this plinth could be fitted with a bespoke sterling silver presentation plaque suitable for a personal engraved inscription.
Condition
This antique dish an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The applied decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body of the dish are all clear in keeping with age and location; the lower portion of the maker’s mark has wear, but remains legible.
