Beautiful 18th century Dutch rococo period Book cabinet, Vitrine in original patina. Cabinet for a plate display or bookcase with a antique original hand rolled glass front, with beautifully carved wooden decoration as a frame to protect the glass There are also two nicely cut shaped shelves for displaying your collection behind the one-piece glass door. The lower part of the cabinet is enclosed by two side and two front door panels in linen fold style carved floating panels and a base moulding resting on 2 spherical solid wooden legs. This is a particularly effective display cabinet because the glass side panels allow both side and front light. Circa 1800. Wear consistent with age and use.
