Vintage Design
This is a cocktail table made in the United States during the 1970s. The striking base consists of three palm leaves made of brass mounted on a black lacquered stone base. The round top is made of thick tempered glass. The table refers to the style of the Hollywood Regency era, which is characterized by a bold use of contrasts, often with metallic and glass accents. It is a style that is supposed to give the impression of being slightly exaggerated and pleasantly, extravagantly unbalanced, yet elegant and modern at the same time. The original form and organic biomorphic design make the table a exceptional element of the arrangement.
This table is in original vintage condition. It has minor scratches and scrapes on the base related to age and use. The width of the stone base is 50 cm.
