A good antique silver-gilt Imperial Russian cigar box or humidor, 1896.
The box of rectangular form with a hinged lid and ribbed decoration, the interior with gold wash and a secondary hinged lid that is also gold washed. The box is hallmarked with the maker’s initials in cyrillic and assay mark for Aleksandr Vladislavovich Skovronsky and the city mark for Moscow and “84” grade silver, the box is marked both to the base and also the interior lid.
Condition is very good and the silver weight is 684 grams.
