Contemporary Design
Produced in the Botswana studio of Peter Mabeo, the Ipe Stool is Venetian designer Luca Nichetto’s homage to an iconic mid-century design by Italian master Enzo Mari.
The Ipe Stool and accompanying Ipe Bench were designed by Luca Nichetto in 2010 in homage to Enzo Mari’s iconic mid-century Putrella serving dish and the related forms of curved beams found in Japan’s ancient temples. The bench and stool—available in white or black lacquered sustainable panga panga wood—are handmade by artisans in the Botswana studio of Peter Mabeo. The Ipe Bench is available separately.
