Beautiful and especially special French farm cupboard from the early 1800s. The cabinet has been painted using various painting techniques. Painting cabinets with wood grain and patina techniques was long popular to give the cabinet more appearance. Over the years this layer has weathered and gives the cabinet its special and unique look! The cabinet has the original old hinges, knobs, and original lock and key still. The lock is working. The doors of the cabinet can be closed by turning the wooden knob. The cabinet is also extensively treated against further woodworm, cleaned and where necessary restored with preservation of patina and original appearance. The cabinet is then treated with a hardwax oil. A completely original cabinet with beautiful details and especially a great look through the color and old paint techniques!
