Antique Russian Imperial silver & enamel cigarette case, 1898-1914.
A rare & unusual antique Russian silver case with an enameled pictorial hunting scene to the front, depicting two Russian men in a snowy forested landscape hunting a bear. The hinged case opens and closes smoothly with a button clasp, having a gilt interior with an engraved dedication in cyrillic & dated March 10th 1919. Both sides of the interior with the silversmith’s mark of “BH” and an 88 kokoshnik mark for the assayer, Ivan Sergeyvich Lebedkin (1898-1914).
Condition is very good, silver weight is 198 grams.
