Vintage Design
Magnificent and rare pair of Art Deco Amsterdamse School armchairs. The design is attributed to Hildo Krop for ‘t Woonhuys Amsterdam. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak and original oak veneer base with solid macassar ebony armrests. The armrests are decorated with hand-carved stylish elements. A real eye catcher are the decorated hand-carved solid macassar ebony feet! The pair is unmarked but we have images of a chair with the identical feet which comes out of an interior with furniture manufactured by ‘t Woonhuys Amsterdam and they are marked with the original metal tags. Re-upholstered by the previous owners. This wonderful pair of Art Deco Amsterdamse School attributed to Hildo Krop for ‘t Woonhuys Amsterdam is in very good condition with a beautiful patina. Please note that we have another set coming up for sale, so we have four chairs in total. Price is for the pair!
