A stylish and heavily hand-crafted Birmingham Guild Arts & Crafts copper paten or tray dating from around 1915. The tray of flat circular shape has a raised flat rim decorated with incised cross designs in a pagan or Pugin style with smaller designs incised in between. The dish is thickly and heavily made with a fold over rim with a fine hand beaten finish to the base. It has been suggested that the tray shaped dish may be a communion paten and it has impressed makers marks reading The Birmingham Guild Ltd England to the base.
