Vintage Design
A large dining table Model 540 designed by Finn Juhl in 1958 for France & Søn and manufactured in the early 1960s. With two extension leaves stored in a recess beneath the table top, it extends to an impressive 284cm. Exceptionally for a dining table of this era it is constructed from solid teak throughout without veneers. The round, tapered legs support the frame which is shaped at the sides to echo the overhanging lip which facilitates drawing the leaves apart. The very highest quality of design and workmanship. Excellent condition with only minor blemishes and light wear consistent with its age.
Bears the France & Søn maker’s badge and a stamped serial number.
The legs detach for ease and safety of transport.
Approx. dimensions (cm): 186 (ext to 286) x 100d x 72h
