A classic British design from the 50’s… Based in England, the prestigious Ercol company has been working with wood by hand for almost a century: a real institution across the Channel!  It was in 1920 that Lucian Ercolani, the son of an Italian immigrant in London, decided to found his own furniture factory. Like his illustrious predecessors (Thonet, Fischel, Köhn,..), Lucian R Ercolani works with bent wood, shaping it after it has been heated and steamed.

His creations are the result of a remarkable handcrafted work of wood, and will quickly acquire an international reputation. Today, Ercol remains one of the last remaining English furniture manufacturers. Each piece that leaves the Ercol factories is handcrafted in England: a guarantee of impeccable quality for this furniture made to last.

An inspired blend of retro lines and contemporary purity, Ercol’s creations are imbued with a Scandinavian simplicity. The catalogue includes re-editions of models from the 1950s as well as contemporary creations.
