French writing desk Louis XVI style from the center, Epoch end sec. XIX beginning sec.XX. Rectangular body, top in red leather framed by veneered edge, walnut. Two drawers under the top in line and two narrower below divided by arched band in the center for the seat. Truncated pyramidal legs with bronze finial. The entire decoration repeats the scheme of the subdivision of the drawer tableaux with walnut mirroring arranged vertically within herringbone reserves and fillets in chiaroscuro. Straight sides with two superimposed tableaux divided according to the alignment of the drawers. Closed back part simulating false drawers.
