The IDA ESSENTIAL Lounge Chair by Mariekke Jansen always bears her distinctive signature due to this unique technique.

Mariekke draws inspiration from everyday techniques, such as winding a spool of thread, and applies this binding method to furniture and fashion. Thousands of years ago, wool was used in mattresses, and it is still used in the cushions of sofas and lounge chairs today. When you sit on the lounge chair, the wool molds to your body, offering support and great comfort with its responsive springiness.

The filling of this lounge chair is made of 100% virgin wool, entirely produced in the Netherlands.

– This is a handmade item; minor deviations in dimensions are to be expected. Any deviation less than 5% is considered acceptable.
– For multiple lounge chairs, we recommend ordering them in one batch to ensure the best match, as they can be filled simultaneously.
– All items are subject to some degree of compression, but they are densely stuffed with wool to arrive thicker than advertised and will compress to the advertised thickness over the first few months of use.
