Famous Ole Wanscher Ladderback chair or model 1755 by Ole Wanscher. Designed in 1946 and produced by Fritz Hansen.
Fascinating hybrid design that combines old design style with new ideas. At the front and seat this chair follows closely the century old design of the Chippendale type chair. But Ole Wanscher added lots of new details to this conventional design like the extravagant armrests. The result is a chair much more elegant and modern than the conventional Chippendale chair.
