Mid 20th Century French Console Cabinet with Center Drawers

A French painted console cabinet with drawers from the mid 20th century. This vintage 6.25 foot long cabinet from France features a four drawers, set vertically, between a pair of single paneled doors, with a gently scalloped skirt, and raised upon petite cabriole legs which have been carved with nicely scrolled volutes. This piece is designed with a subtly bowed center, where the paneled-front drawers are housed, with top mimicking the shape of the case below. The pair of doors each have sweetly carved raised panels, with flowing emphasis at their upper interior sections. There is a creamy natural wash with subtle green undertones and beige accent trim. This French mid-century console cabinet, with its gentle lines and subtly bowed center, would function equally as a buffet or sideboard.
