Vintage Design
The table has an effective form based on a game of geometric shapes. The structure of the base made of a flat metal strip attracts attention in particular. Two inverted semicircles support the table top and flow smoothly into the legs, which connect with the same semicircles at the bottom. The structure is additionally reinforced with two vertical strips.
The architectural, silver structure is crowned with a large, crystal table top in the form of a rectangle with cut corners. The glass is carefully finished with delicately worked, smooth-cut edges. Thanks to the use of crystal, the table top shines beautifully and reflects light.
For the table, you can buy a set of chairs, the forms of which complement the table. The chair legs have the shape of semicircles that fit perfectly into the table base.
The form of the table and chairs is inspired by the iconic, modernist tubular furniture, although it has been processed in a new way. Transforming and re-composing the forms and solutions encountered so far in art is a characteristic feature of postmodernism. This trend in art, unlike modernism, rejected the ambitions of minimalism and extreme functionalism in favor of compiling and composing, playing with form, establishing and processing known motifs in a new way.
The table has a slight dent in one of the corners.
