Treasury Filing Cabinet, I.C.A. Offices, Mantova, Italy, 1960s

The file comes from the treasury office of the old I.C.A. – Mantova Forniture Enti Pubblici .
In the Municipality of Mantua the service of compulsory collection of municipal revenues and the service of assessment and collection of the single property fee, for over 60 years, has been managed by: I.C.A.
The filing cabinet of treasury still has the official ferry of the supplies of public bodies, the robustness the solidity of this piece of furniture made it perfectly suitable for what were documents and taxes of value. The shelves are adjustable in height and divisible horizontally by means of bulkheads insertable tab. The doors always in solid iron did not have glass windows but metal grids, such as to make the contents visible but in total safety. The considerable weight made it all not easily removable. The cabinet has been completely restored, the painted parts were treated for oxidation and rust, then powder coated in a charcoal gray color. The doors always treats, materic corten effect. The lock although original does not have a key and is therefore equipped with a rubberized chain with padlock to be placed between the two handles in soft iron. Always in soft iron is the decoration on the base.
In the bottom of the cabinet, a discreet 0.8 cm hole was used to insert a 240 volt concurrent station that makes the cabinet suitable for holding multiple electronics without seeing wires coming out. The exceptional rarity and small size make it a unique piece of furniture and impact even with the most classic furnishings, as well as being a “must” of the industrial style.
